Affiliate Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Upperoom Listings Affiliate Program! These Terms and Conditions govern your participation as an affiliate and your relationship with Upperoom Listings (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By participating in this program, you agree to comply with these terms in full.

Introduction

The Upperoom Listings Affiliate Program allows users (“Affiliates”) to earn rewards by referring individuals who successfully list their properties on the Upperoom platform and complete a verified handover. These terms apply to all affiliates and outline the eligibility, earning process, and withdrawal requirements.

Definitions

  • Affiliate: A registered user who refers another person to list their property on Upperoom Listings.
  • Referred User: A new user who registers through an affiliate’s referral link and proceeds to list their own house.
  • Eligible Listing: A verified listing with a rental value of ₦200,000 or above.
  • Successful Handover: The point at which the lister’s property has been reserved and successfully handed over to a new tenant through Upperoom Listings.
  • Commission: The amount earned by an affiliate when all conditions for a successful referral are met.
  • Withdrawal: The process by which an affiliate requests payout of accumulated commissions after meeting the minimum balance requirement.

Eligibility

  • Only registered users of Upperoom Listings may participate in the affiliate program.
  • Affiliates must be 18 years or older.
  • Only referrals where the referred user becomes a lister (the person posting a house) are eligible for commissions.
  • Listings below ₦200,000 are not eligible for affiliate earnings.

Earnings and Commission Structure

1. Earning Criteria:

  • Affiliates earn a commission of ₦5,000 for every successful reservation or handover completed for an eligible listing.
  • The referred user must be the lister of the property (the one who posts the house).
  • Earnings are only confirmed after Upperoom verifies that the handover was successfully completed through the platform.
  • Commissions are credited to the affiliate’s wallet once verification is complete.

2. Ineligible Referrals:

  • Referrals where the referred user is only a client or renter are not eligible for commissions.
  • Listings priced below ₦200,000 are not eligible for affiliate earnings.
  • Duplicate or fraudulent referrals will result in forfeiture of commissions and possible account suspension.

Withdrawal Policy

  • The minimum withdrawal balance is ₦5,000.
  • Withdrawals can only be made from verified affiliate accounts.
  • Upperoom Listings reserves the right to review and verify transactions before approving withdrawals.
  • Approved withdrawals will be processed to the affiliate’s registered bank account within 3–5 working days.

Responsibilities

Affiliate Responsibilities:

  • Share referral links ethically and only with users genuinely interested in listing their houses.
  • Provide accurate details during registration and withdrawal.
  • Abstain from using misleading advertising, spam, or false claims to promote Upperoom Listings.

Upperoom Responsibilities:

  • Track valid referrals accurately using the referral link system.
  • Credit commissions promptly after confirmation of successful handovers.
  • Maintain transparency and fairness in affiliate rewards and payouts.

Termination

Upperoom Listings reserves the right to suspend or terminate an affiliate’s participation at any time if they are found violating these terms or engaging in fraudulent or unethical activities. In such cases, any unpaid commissions may be forfeited.

Amendments

Upperoom Listings may modify these Affiliate Terms and Conditions at any time. Affiliates will be notified of significant changes through email or platform notifications. Continued participation after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
